In the baroque city of Vukovar, located at the confluence of Vuka and the Danube rivers, is one of the most magnificent and most beautiful examples of feudal secular architecture in the Republic of Croatia. The castle has an impressive display of the Vukovar City Museum. The museum offers a dozen collections, including the Bauer Collection with the most comprehensive selection of modern Croatian art from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In 2016 the museum won the EMYA Siletto Award for the European Museum of the Year.
