What is life without good food and a drop of wine? Some would say, just a survival.
Shared meals at the table are an important moment, as they bring together family members, communities, friends and those who will soon become friends. In Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem, gathering around the table is a solemn and sacred moment.
It is a special honor for the host who always offers the best he has to his guest. The best perina, salenjak, wine or kulen. Everyone who has at least once visited Slavonia, Baranja and western Srijem is aware of that fact.
The culture of abundance and warm hospitality have been part of this people DNA for decades.
"Slow food" is here the way of living. It has always been and remains important to share the wealth of small things that mean life with others.
