Željko Garmaz spent twenty-seven years writing for others, including 24 sata, Vjesnik, Globus, Slobodna Dalmacija, Nedjeljna Dalmacija, Bosanski pogledi, and Valter, before he realised the time has come to start writing for himself, about things that he loves the most – Africa and wines. He is the author of four books, “Naš čo’ek u Africi” (“Local Man in Africa”) (co-authored with his wife Maja), “Vinske priče” (“Wine Stories”), “U Africi nije sve crno” (“Not Everything Is Dark in Africa”) and “Dalmacija – Vinske priče” (“Dalmatia – Wine Stories”), and the documentary “Sijera Leone – zemlja krvavih dijamanata” (“Sierra Leone – The Land of Blood Diamonds”).
